Texas Hold em Poker : Semi-Bluffing and Defensive Gambling
Seems like most folks are always talking about pre-flop technique, so I wanted to speak a bit about how I bet on following the flop. Perhaps I can support others, or possibly they have advice to improve my play.
I believe that 2 of the most crucial plays after the flop are the semi-bluff and the defensive bet. Which is because these are the plays you produce whenever you havent hit a hand but you have a very good drawing hand. Its easy to wager on a hand when you flop a monster. But I believe that these 2 are the very best methods to play a drawing. Each one is wagered depending on you competition(s) and your postion. So here’s how I wager on it, so tell me what you think.
Early Position – Tight Opponents:
A semi-bluff works fairly nicely in this position. Are available out gambling and if a tight gambler did not hit a hand he’ll most likely lay down, and if he’s unsure you may receive a call. But watch out, if that tight player comes back more than the top it might be time to receive away.
Early Place – Loose Competitors
This can be had been I like to accomplish a defensive wager. Determine how quite a few chips you’re willing to risk on your draw and bet. It is normally a much smaller bet than regular. It’s been my experience that the loose player will usually just call a bet instead of re-raise.
