Beginners Schemes for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, not like the majority of other poker games that players bet with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t need to fret about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their moolla.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, newcomers can take their time and strategize without having to make quick choices.

It’s also much simpler to play for an extended time with just a tiny amount of money since, to not win, both of your hands needs to be under both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the croupier gets seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
